I am making and following a plan for a learning adventure where I have two weeks to learn something, ANYTHING that I wish!
So here goes my learning adventure proposal... I am going to learn about sociology and what it is to be a sociologist. I am going to accomplish this by looking online at various websites, reading passages from multiple books and (hopefully) speaking with a sociologist. I am going to study the field of sociology for one hour every night for two weeks. I am going to do this mainly by myself but with the help (hopefully) of sophisticated sociologists.
It promotes mastery because my actual learning goal is to become as close to a master on the broad field of sociology (as much of a master as I can be in two weeks time) so that if one was to ask any question about sociology, I would be able to answer easily and thoroughly. It will conduct flow because it is very engaging and challenging. I say this because when I had my junior counselor meeting they said that the best career path for me with the skills and knowledge that I have is to be a sociologist. That means that I have the potential to enter that field with ease but since I know close to nothing about sociology, it will be challenging. That balances the factor of hardness to directly in the middle.
This learning adventure has purpose to me because until recently I had no idea what career path I should pursue. I was very worried about what classes I should be taking for colleges since I didn't know what I wanted to be. Now that I am interested in sociology, this learning adventure will not only help me gain knowledge on a topic that I don't know much about but may also have an immensely great impact on my future career.
